You can contact Bangor Nightline about anything. Our lines are usually open from 6pm until 12am.
Nightline gives you the time and space to talk through whatever is on your mind. Whether you have something troubling you, or if you just fancy a chat, Nightline is here to listen for as long as you need us to. We don’t have all the answers, but we do care about what you’re going through. You’ll be talking to another Bangor University student, one that has undergone extensive training to provide you with non-judgmental and confidential support.
We can also provide you with factual and impartial information from reliable resources. While we don’t give advice ourselves, we can give details of relevant professional advice sources to help you with any problems. We can provide information on a wide range of issues, from student loans to the nearest sexual health clinic. We have contact details for a range of organisations as varied as gas repairs, quitting smoking lines and Crimestoppers. In addition we provide University, local and national information – so whether it’s a taxi number to get you home, exam timetables or the nearest takeaway, Nightline is here to help.
You can contact Nightline as often as you need our assistance. Please note that because we maintain strict confidentiality, volunteers cannot disclose personal information or the date of their next shift. However, if you are calling back on the same night it might be possible to talk to the same volunteer if they are not taking another call.
